Scott began running in high school, where he participated in Track and Cross Country. He
continued his running career at Northwood University, specializing in Cross Country and the 10,000 meter run in Track. Between
Track and Cross Country, Scott has coached 11 teams to finishes of 16 th place or higher at State Finals and has coached 17 State Champions, 32 All-State athletes and over
100 State Finals qualifiers. His coaching honors include being named the 2008 "MITCA Coach of the Year". He has been a finalist
for this award on four different occasions throughout his coaching career. Additionally, Scott has been recognized as
the 2008 "LSJ Track Coach of the Year" to go along with his seven "LSJ Division 4 Coach of the Year" awards that he has earned
since 2001. When not coaching, his favorite thing to do is spend time with his wife Lisa and his little girls, Melanie and
Vivian.
